Teaching Portuguese as a non-native language to foreign students.

Foreign citizens who are attending public or private, primary or secondary school and who do not speak Portuguese.

Foreign students take a language proficiency level (NPL) placement test, and are placed in their respective level.
Depending on their level of language proficiency (NPL), they either take classes in Portuguese as a non-native language or Portuguese with teaching support.
