What is it

Telephone support service that aims to ensure that immediate assistance is given to elderly or dependent people in situations of risk or emergency. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and uses a fixed or mobile terminal with an emergency button combined with a speaker phone with which users can talk to and be located and identified by a Portuguese Red Cross operator who will immediately assess the situation and activate the most appropriate responses.

Who is it intended for

You can benefit from this service if you:
a) are permanently resident in the Autonomous Region of the Azores;
b) are 65 or older, in the case of senior citizens, or if you have a duly proven degree of dependency or disability;
c) do not have remote care equipment supplied by another entity.

How to apply

By submitting an application any time during the year. The allocation of equipment is limited to existing availability.
